Italy vs England Bet Builder Tips With 33/1 Prediction
Predictions for Italy vs England, including 33/1 Bet Builder tip, correct score prediction, corners and cards betting for the Euro 2024 qualifier on Thursday 23 March
By James McMath
We go again. England are about to embark on another mission to end what will be 58 years of hurt as their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign begins in Italy.
Italy, of course, prevented England from getting their hands on some silverware in 2021, edging to a penalty shootout win at Wembley in the final of Covid-delayed Euro 2020.
A lot has happened since then. The sides met twice in the Nations League last summer, producing a 0-0 draw and a 1-0 win for Italy before the 2022 World Cup.
England reached the quarter-finals in Qatar, while Italy were forced to watch from home, having failed to qualify for the tournament in embarrassing fashion.
But the fact remains that England do not beat Italy often, even less so on Italian soil. Not since 1961 have England won against Italy in Italy and that was in a friendly.
Thursday’s Euro 2024 qualifier sees Gareth Southgate again pit his wits against Roberto Mancini, with the match being hosted at Napoli’s Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
It could be a special night for Harry Kane, who needs one more goal to pass Wayne Rooney’s record and become England’s all-time top goalscorer with 54.
The other teams in Group C are North Macedonia, Malta and Ukraine, who England face at Wembley on Sunday.
The match kicks off at 7.45pm and will be shown on TV in the UK on Channel 4.
With all that in mind, here’s some Italy vs England predictions, including Bet Builder tips, with both teams to score predictions, cards, corners, goalscorers and more.

View From The Coaches
Italy coach Roberto Mancini said: "Italy vs England has become a classic game, like Italy-Germany in the past.
"England are a strong team with class and technique, we expect a tough game. They have more options than us. We want to play a great game, play well and begin well the Euro qualifiers, but they are strong.
“We want to start well. It's not an easy group. Ukraine is there as well and are a tough team. England are a top team, the national team is important and everyone wants to play in the Euros and the Word Cup.
"Motivations are important. In a very busy month for clubs players are stressed, but we have these days and now they must recover and be at their best on Thursday. You never know in life, we could win the Euros again, but first we have to qualify."
England coach Gareth Southgate said: "That is the big challenge we have got. To go to a World Cup, everyone wanted to be there and the fight for places was immense, the hunger was there and it was clear. Now you have to start again.
“I know exactly where our most senior players are with that challenge: they are ready. The Hendersons, the Kanes, they set the tone for that sort of mentality that is going to be needed.
“We have basically a couple of days on the training pitch to prepare for a humdinger of a game in Naples so we have got to make sure we are ready for that but I think the players will be ready for that. I know we are as a group of staff and it is a good test for us.
“These are the sorts of games where we have to show we can go to these places and win. That is the next step for us as a team.”
