After two impressive Major runs that saw Bad News Eagles soar to new heights in 2022, Klesti “stikle-” Kola has announced he will be parting ways with the team for the upcoming season.

In a post to Twitter, stikle- explained that his reason for leaving Bad News Eagles at this time was due to differing visions for the future of the team. Not only was stikle- responsible for in-game coaching of the BNE lineup, but he was also their manager and social media manager during the past 10 months. In May, host and interviewer James Banks became the team manager in order to lend further support to their cause, but Bad News Eagles is yet to secure a future home.

Upsetting The Odds

The Bad News Eagles roster has been without an official organisation ever since the players left Team BLINK at the start of this year. In this time, they captured the hearts of many CS fans, having made the top 16 of both the PGL Antwerp Major and IEM Rio Major against all odds among other strong showings at various CS:GO tournaments during the year.

Most notably, at the Tipsport Cup Prague 2022 LAN Finals, Bad News Eagles were able to lift the trophy by beating the likes of Dynamo Eclot and SINNERS Esports.

Surgery Planned

stikle- also revealed in his post that he will be undergoing functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) that he had been delaying due to team commitments and further iterated he would be putting more focus on his physical health during his time off. He has plans to stream and discuss what the future will hold for him after he has recovered.
