Outsiders and Heroic eliminated at BLAST Premier World Final

Outsiders and Heroic are the first two teams eliminated from BLAST Premier World Final, marking the departure of both the reigning CSGO Major champions and BLAST Fall Finals winners in one day.

Having been bested by Liquid previously, Outsiders faced an even bigger challenge in G2 Esports who joined them in the lower final. Having only taken one map in the last six meetings between the two teams, Outsiders not only failed to take another, but were defeated 16-1 on their own map pick of Mirage. G2 were able to have a flawless CT side, only dropping the T pistol before winning the following round to close out the series.

Heroic and Natus Vincere turned up the heat in Abu Dhabi for their lower final, with both teams considered contenders for the trophy one loss away from ending the tournament in the group stage.

Having taken their own map picks convincingly, it came down to a nailbiter on Nuke. While s1mple performed well, it was b1t who did the heavy lifting for NAVI in the series and secured the regular time win in 16-14 fashion.

G2 and NAVI earned themselves places in the quarter-finals where the second place teams from the opposite groups will be their next opponents. FaZe are the first team directly through to the BLAST Premier World Final due to topping Group A while OG and Team Vitality face each other to determine who will be in the second semifinal on the other side of the bracket.
