Keeping up with the IEM Rio Major schedule can be challenging, and that’s why we’ve compiled this list with everything you need to know about this widely-anticipated esports event.

The 2022 Rio Majors will also feature Gaules host a fan-catering service to thousands of esports fans in attendance. Meet and greets, pictures, and signings will be a common sight as attendees meet their esports heroes.

Let’s talk about the IEM Rio Major in more detail and discuss teams, schedules, matchups, and how you can watch the action unfold whilst keeping up with the busy Rio Major schedule.

What Is The IEM Rio Major?

The IEM Rio Majors, like all CSGO Major schedules, represents the most elite level of CSGO playing. The Rio edition will mark the 18th Majors championships, and was originally scheduled for May 2020.

Of course, global events at the time stopped the original plan, and it will now take place almost two-and-a-half years later.

The defending Major Championships holders are FaZe Clan, who won the PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

IEM Rio Major 2022 Schedule And Format

The IEM Rio Major is expected to take place on 31 October 2022 and run until 13 November. Much like past Majors, the competition will be split between Challengers, Legends, and Champions.

The Challengers and Legends must win three of their five matches to qualify for the next round and more than two losses eliminates them from the tournament entirely.

The remaining eight teams enter the Champions Stage, where there is no room for defeat whatsoever. Teams battle for a place to write their name into CSGO folklore, win the Majors, and collect the huge amount of prize money available.

The IEM Rio Major schedule will unfold like this:

  • Challengers Stages - 31 October 2022 - 3 November 2022
  • Legends Stages - 5 November 2022 - 8 November 2022
  • Champions Stages - 10 November 2022 - 13 November 2022

The IEM Rio Majors final will take place on 13 November 2022 and will promise to be one of, if not the, biggest esport events of the year.

Who will win the Majors final remains to be seen, but there is certainly some stiff competition.
