The Grand National field line-up was confirmed on Thursday morning, with 40 horses declared. The 2022 winner, Noble Yeats, is due on the start line, as are Any Second Now and Delta Work, who finished second and third last year.
How Long Is The Grand National?
The Grand National is 4 miles, 2.5 furlongs and usually lasts between nine and 11 minutes. There are 30 jumps to negotiate - with 16 fences, 14 of which are jumped twice.
Who Is Rachael Blackmore Riding In The Grand National?
Rachael Blackmore will ride Ain’t That A Shame in the 2023 Grand National. Blackmore became the first female jockey to win the Grand National when she rode Minella Times to victory in 2021.
Ain’t That A Shame is number 25 and is expected to go off at about 25/1.
