BLAST Premier World Final Groups and Opening Games Announced

The opening games and complete groups for BLAST Premier World Final 2022 have been announced, with both of the year’s Major champion teams locked in to fight for $1,000,000 in the final big event of the season.

Group A with FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, Team Liquid and Outsiders has each respective pair go against each other to start the event. YEKINDAR will be taking on his former team Outsiders for the first time since leaving for Liquid, while NiKo will once again take on FaZe. The matchup between the Bosnian star and his old home is even, with four wins a piece.

Over in Group B, BLAST Premier Fall Finals winners Heroic will be pitted against OG and s1mple and ZywOo are once again pitted against each other in the Natus Vincere and Team Vitality matchup. NAVI, as well as being the 2021 World Final champions, were the ones to win the Spring Finals, meaning both BLAST season winners may meet before playoffs.

Heroic will be playing with a stand-in as stavn will not be present in Abu Dhabi. Former Astralis rifler k0nfig will instead step in, marking his first LAN appearance since his controversial departure from the Danish organisation following an incident in Malta earlier in the year. He earlier stood in for Team Endpoint during the online European Development Championship 6.

Games at the BLAST Premier World Final are due to start from 06:00 GMT, with the full schedule for the first day being:

• 06:00 GMT - Liquid vs Outsiders
• 09:00 GMT - FaZe vs G2
• 12:00 GMT - Heroic vs OG
• 15:00 GMT - NAVI vs Vitality
