Update: Blast Premier World Final Predictions 2022

Hot off of the IEM Rio 2022 Major, the teams attending BLAST Premier Fall Finals all have scores to settle, points to prove and pride to regain. Without the champions Outsiders in attendance, but former Major champions who fell short in Rio as well as some who failed to make it there in the first place, there will be a lot of hype in Copenhagen as the CSGO calendar year begins to wrap up before 2023.

BLAST Premier Fall Final Outright Odds

Here's a look at each team and their outright odds at time of publishing.

Natus Vincere | 3.75

What is great for most players is an average day for s1mple and the star himself not quite himself at IEM Rio despite being awarded the ‘CS:GO Player of the Decade’ by ESL while in attendance. A disappointing loss to FURIA at the Major alongside whispers of discontent within the team, NAVI are in a precarious position. Between moving on from losing boombl4 and bringing in sdy on loan from MAD Lions back in June, a full five-man lineup hasn’t been seen from one of the strongest teams in the world right now.

In-game leading duties falling onto electronic has seen his level also dip, but the skill and performance ceilings from both the individuals and core of NAVI will always see them in a contender position regardless of the highs and lows that surround them at any tournament.

Heroic | 4.00

Major grand finalists Heroic do not have time to wait and lick their wounds. Having flown home and knowing what it feels like to have the crowds against you, they now get to have the reverse experience in Copenhagen.

Having battled hard through the BLAST EU Showdown for their spot in the Fall Finals, Heroic face Ninjas in Pyjamas, a team they have only taken one map from so far in 2022. If they can avoid the lower final in doing so, it gives the Danish squad a solid shot at a World Final spot.

FaZe Clan | 5.00

Disappointment in Rio would be an understatement for the showing FaZe gave at the Major. What should have been a continuation of the most successful year ever seen for a team in CSGO ended in bitter 0-3 fashion. A recovery in Copenhagen for BLAST Premier Fall Finals could still see that achievement recognised, but the entire team will need to once again play to the level seen earlier in 2022.

Core players like broky on the pre-update AWP without the nerfs will be especially crucial in FaZe’s success or failure, even if they have already locked in their place in the BLAST Premier World Final.

G2 Esports | 6.50

After bombing out of IEM Rio, G2 Esports are a team needing to show signs of life at BLAST Premier Fall Finals. The team might have their resident gigachad in-game leader HooXi but are down a coach following the departure of XTQZZZ. Having referenced issues within the team and a poor atmosphere, G2 have to finally live up to the 'superteam' reputation frequently put upon them.

Previous lineups under G2 have often found success at BLAST to kickstart some positive signs and a good showing now would put the team back among the top contenders as well as setting up 2023 to hopefully bear the first trophy for the organisation since 2019.

Liquid | 7.50

With many of North America’s teams disappointing, it is fair to say many expect great things from the ESL Pro League Season 16 finalists. Helmed by NA IGLing prodigal son nitr0, the flashes of brilliance and moments of choke-related disappointment seem to have not changed too much from the Liquid most know and love (or love to hate).

The signing of YEKINDAR didn’t quite put Liquid on the boil. Instead, his former team Outsiders lifted the IEM Rio Major trophy in his absence. On the cusp of making playoffs but falling to a very in-form Team Spirit, BLAST Premier Fall Finals, Liquid may well be able to take a huge scalp off of the underperforming G2 Esports in their opening match to put them on course to a more successful event in Denmark.

Ninjas in Pyjamas | 11.00

A switch to English, the loss of device after so much uncertainty around his status within the organisation, this is now the rebuilding and unshackled NiP. It is perhaps unfair to expect too much from them, but on the other hand, this is one of the biggest names in Counter-Strike history. Expectations will always be that much higher even if the days of NiP magic feel like a fairytale from another era.

NiP are the second-lowest team at the event on the BLAST Global Leaderboard at #12, meaning anything short of a win will unlikely do enough to see them through to the World Final in Abu Dhabi next month.

OG Esports | 13.00

Another team that tasted defeat in Brazil, OG now have the chance to pick themselves back up. Despite the early exit for them, degster still posted 1.28 rating at IEM Rio to continue his streak of positive rated events this year.

At any other time, facing a team like FaZe Clan in an opening match would be intimidating, but with the superstar roster struggling, this is the perfect time for a promising up and coming team to gain confidence and land a blow they might otherwise not get a chance to take.

Fluxo | 34.00

While the organisation might not be instantly recognisable, fans will definitely know some of the big names on the Fluxo roster. felps, vsm and WOOD7 all being notable, with the latter and teammate lux fresh off of competing together in the 2v2 Red Bull Flick Invitational in Helsinki.

In the face of numerous Brazilian lineups vying for positions in the Americas RMR for IEM Rio 2022, Fluxo just missed out on qualifying for the hometown Major. Their appearance at ESL Challenger Rotterdam left a lot to be desired but having bested a domestic rival in MIBR to make it to BLAST Premier Fall Final, Fluxo have it all to play for in Denmark.
