Huge Chamber Nerfs Coming In VALORANT Patch 5.12

Long-awaited Chamber nerfs are finally being delivered to VALORANT, with Riot Games making huge changes to the Agent in Patch 5.12. As the most-picked Sentinel in the game right now over Killjoy, Cypher and Sage, the latter also being the victim of severe nerfs since the beta, the following changes to Chamber’s entire kit will likely see his overall pick rate fall.

Trademark (C)

• The trap is now range restricted - Trademark will disable when Chamber moves out of range, and reactivate once he is inside
• Can now be recalled mid-round - does not require line of sight
• 30s cooldown on recall - destruction remains permanent
• Initial Arm Time increased 2s >> 4s
• Health Increased 1 >> 20

Headhunter (Q)

• Updated Stability Curve
• Spread increased after the 2nd bullet, when spamming to prevent body-shot spam efforts

Rendezvous (E)

• Now places a single anchor that can be teleported to while inside its range - radius increased 15m >>> 26m
• Removed teleport height restriction - you can teleport to the anchor while on different verticality
• Increased weapon equip time after teleport 0.4s >>> 0.7s (Headhunter is unaffected)
• Destroying Rendezvous anchor now disables till end of round - no longer gains an extra cooldown when recalling anchor after teleport

Tour De Force (X)

• Fire rate decreased by 57.5%

Slow (applies to both Trademark (C) and Tour De Force(X))

• Reduced 50% >> 40%
• Reduced duration 6s >> 4s
• Reduced size by 30%

Time will tell if these nerfs are enough to bring Chamber back into line to where Riot and the player base are satisfied, with some believing the bigger issue lies in how strong his Rendezvous (E) may remain despite wider nerfing.
