One Good Break Can Change Everything

There’s nothing like a 147 at the Crucible. The silence, the pressure, the moment everything clicks. This year, the Midnite Maximum is back and bigger than ever, with up to £100,000 on the line for one fan if perfection lands at the right time.

There are moments in snooker where everything just… clicks. And at the Crucible, the tension ramps up to a thousand.

The crowd goes quiet. The pressure builds. Every shot matters a little bit more than the last.

And then suddenly, a player is on for a maximum.

That’s the moment everyone leans in for. And it’s exactly why the Midnite Maximum is back for 2026.

Up to £100,000 for a Single Moment

Here’s how it works.

If a 147 is hit at the World Snooker Championship, one fan in the draw wins a cash prize. Simple.

This year though, we’re not just going for the ‘same old’. We’re going bigger and better. The prize now grows as the tournament goes on, so the bigger the stage, the bigger the payout.

  • Round 1: £5,000
  • Round 2: £10,000
  • Quarter-finals: £25,000
  • Semi-finals: £50,000
  • Final: £100,000

So if someone pulls off perfection in the final, you’re not just watching history. You could be right in the middle of it.

We’ve Seen What Happens When It Lands

Last year gave us the perfect example.

Mark Allen stepped up at the Crucible. Everything fell into place. A 147 was hit under the lights.

Somewhere in the crowd, Brian Nicholls watched it unfold like everyone else. Except this time, he’s the one whose name comes out of the draw.

He walks in for a day of snooker and leaves £25,000 richer. That’s the kind of moment you don’t forget.

It’s Not Just About the Table

Of course, snooker will always be the main event. But if you happen to be in Sheffield during the Championship, we’re making sure there’s a bit more going on.

The Midnite Lounge is back and running across all 17 days.

We’ve designed it to be a proper fan space, not just somewhere to pass time. You’ve got exhibition matches, local players stepping up in (slightly bonkers) amateur competitions, and free-to-play table time if you fancy having a go yourself. There’s even a specially brewed Midnite Lager if you’re settling in for the day.

It’s all built to make the whole experience feel bigger than just what happens inside the arena.

Why We Built It This Way

Snooker doesn’t need help being dramatic. It already delivers that. But when something special happens, it feels right that it goes beyond the player at the table.

The Midnite Maximum is about sharing that moment. So when a 147 drops, it can become something that a fan takes home with them, not just something they watched happen.

Because let’s be honest, those are the stories people actually tell.

What to Watch For

As the tournament goes on, you’ll feel it building. A player gets into the 80s. Then the 100 mark. The room changes a bit. Every shot starts to carry weight.

And in the back of your mind, you know what’s on the line.

If someone holds their nerve and completes the maximum at the right time, one fan is walking away with up to £100,000.

All from a single break.

Not bad for a day at the snooker eh?
