About Le Pharaoh

Le Pharaoh is Hacksaw Gaming's Egyptian follow-up to Le Bandit, and it brings back Smokey, the trickster raccoon, this time as a moustachioed pharaoh raiding a tomb. Released in September 2024, it makes one significant change from its predecessor: the cluster pays mechanic is gone, replaced by nineteen fixed paylines.

That change exists to make room for Sticky Re-Drops. When a win lands, those symbols lock in place and everything else re-drops for free, and the sequence continues while new wins keep forming. Locked symbols build Golden Squares, which pay out if a Rainbow symbol arrives to activate them. Maximum win is 15,000x stake.

How to Play Le Pharaoh

Wins pay left to right from reel one across nineteen fixed paylines, with three or more matching symbols needed on adjacent reels. Stakes at Midnite start from £0.10 per spin.

Any winning spin triggers Sticky Re-Drops. The winning symbols stay where they are while the remaining positions spin again at no cost, and more matching symbols can stick as the sequence runs. Positions holding sticky symbols become Golden Squares. If a Rainbow symbol is on the grid when the re-drop sequence ends, Golden Riches activates: every Golden Square reveals a bronze, silver or gold coin, and those can in turn produce Pot of Gold and Clover symbols.

Le Pharaoh Features

  • Fixed Paylines: All 19 paylines are active on every spin and pay left to right from reel one.
  • Sticky Re-Drops: Winning symbols lock in place while the rest of the grid re-drops for free, continuing while new wins keep forming.
  • Golden Squares: Positions holding sticky symbols become marked, ready to be activated.
  • Golden Riches: A Rainbow symbol present when the re-drop sequence ends activates every Golden Square, revealing bronze, silver or gold coins.
  • Clover and Pot of Gold Symbols: Can appear from activated coins, adding multiplier values and larger prizes.
  • Wild Symbol: Substitutes for regular paying symbols.
  • Luck of the Pharaoh Bonus: A free spins round where Golden Squares stay highlighted for the whole round rather than clearing.
  • Lost Treasures Bonus: A hold and win round built around collecting coin values, with Adding Stone Tablets contributing values of up to 500x stake.
  • Choice of Bonus: When triggered organically you choose which of the two bonus families to play.

Le Pharaoh Theme and Symbols

The grid sits inside a tomb framed in gold, with the game logo above it and hieroglyph-covered walls behind. Hacksaw kept its usual style: bright, slightly cartoonish artwork with popping colour, which sits at odds with how many Egyptian slots go for solemnity. Smokey watches from beside the reels in pharaoh dress and reacts as sequences build.

Card ranks from 10 to Ace fill the low-value positions, paying up to 0.7x stake for six of a kind. Above them sit five Egyptian artefacts. The symbols that matter are not on the paytable at all: the Rainbow that activates Golden Riches, the coins it reveals, and the Clover and Pot of Gold symbols that follow. A sequence where sticky symbols have built a screen full of Golden Squares before a Rainbow lands is where the game does its best work.
