Gigantoonz
Play'n GoAbout Gigantoonz
Gigantoonz is the fourth entry in Play'n GO's Toonz series, following Reactoonz, Reactoonz 2 and Dr Toonz. It moves the cartoon aliens onto an 8x8 grid, the largest in the series, and simplifies the feature set that Reactoonz 2 had made fairly dense.
The headline addition is Mega Symbols. These are oversized symbols that can occupy anything from a 2x2 block up to 7x7, covering most of the grid on their own, and each arrives carrying a multiplier. They count as a single symbol when clusters are evaluated, which makes wins harder to form, but the multiplier more than compensates when one lands. Maximum win is 4,000x stake.
How to Play Gigantoonz
Six or more matching symbols connecting horizontally or vertically form a winning cluster. Diagonal connections do not count. Winning symbols are removed, the rest cascade down, and new symbols fill the gaps while wins keep forming. Stakes at Midnite start from £0.20 per spin.
Every symbol involved in a win adds one charge to the Quantumeter beside the grid, and Mega Symbols add their full cluster value rather than counting as one. The meter holds 100 charges across four levels, each releasing a different modifier. On any spin that produces no win, between five and ten Quantum Wilds are scattered across the grid at random, which often restarts a cascade sequence that had stalled.
Gigantoonz Features
- 8x8 Grid: 64 positions, the largest grid in the Toonz series.
- Cluster Pays: Wins are formed by 6 or more matching symbols connecting horizontally or vertically. There are no paylines.
- Cascading Wins: Winning symbols are removed and replaced from above, so one spin can produce a chain of consecutive wins.
- Mega Symbols: Oversized symbols occupying 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 or 7x7 blocks, each carrying a random multiplier from 2x to 13x. They count as one symbol for cluster purposes, and leave a wild behind when removed.
- Quantum Wilds: Between 5 and 10 wilds are placed at random on any spin that produces no win.
- Quantumeter: Charges with every winning symbol, holding up to 100 charges across four levels.
- Disintegration: The first modifier, at 25 charges. Removes every instance of four randomly selected symbols from the grid.
- Metamorphosis and Radiation: The second and third modifiers, at 50 and 75 charges.
- Gargantoonz: The final modifier at 100 charges, transforming existing Mega Symbols into Mega Gargantoonz. It needs at least three Mega Symbols on the grid to fire, and resolves in two stages.

Gigantoonz Theme and Symbols
The grid floats in space against a swirling purple nebula, with the Quantumeter running down one side and a half-asleep three-eyed Gargantoon watching from the other. Play'n GO tidied the layout considerably compared with Reactoonz 2, which had grown cluttered, and the result is easier to read during a long cascade even with Mega Symbols covering half the screen.
The symbols are the series' one-eyed and two-eyed cartoon aliens, split into low and premium tiers by colour and shape. Premium symbols pay between 50x and 1,250x stake depending on cluster size, with the largest awards needing clusters of thirty or more. Because a 7x7 Mega Symbol counts as a single symbol when clusters are evaluated, those very large clusters are built from ordinary symbols, and the Mega Symbol multiplier is applied on top.
