$65,000 Per Punt: Super Bowl Player Earnings Revealed
Philadelphia Eagles’ Brett Kern earns over $65,000 for every kick he’s taken over the 2022 NFL season which trumps any other Punter or Kicker in the Super Bowl LVII
By James McMath
Midnite compared how much each Kicker and Punter from each Super Bowl LVII team have earned on average of every punt, field goal, yard and point earned.
Brett Kern has earned the most per punt/field goal out of all the kicking specialists on both the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs team.
The ex-Titans Punter has only played six games, punted 17 times on a total 2022 salary of $1,120,000 which averages to $186,667 per game and $65,882 per punt for the Eagles. The veteran is even earning $1,562 per yard after covering a total 717 yards from his punting.
The injured Arryn Siposs is averaging a lot fewer dollars earned from his total punts and games due to more games played and a lesser salary than his replacement at the Eagles, Kern.
The Chiefs’ Punter, Tommy Townsend, has played 19 games and earned the least amount on average out of the Punters for how many punts he's taken ($14,672) and yard ($296) he’s gathered.
Meanwhile on the Kickers side, it’s a tight contest between Harrison Butker and Jake Elliott who both have been to and won a Super Bowl before 2023.
Butker just edges Elliott in total earnings as well as on average. The Chief’s Kicker has played 15 games in the 2022 season on a $1,163,611 salary.
This means from 23 field goals and 112 points earned, Butker earns $50,592 per field goal and $10,389 per point, whereas Elliott has earned $47,045 and $8,214 respectively.

"Brett Kern is living his best life after leaving the Tennessee Titans and going straight into the Super Bowl LVII”
“He’ll also be happy with how little work he’s doing compared to his reported salary for 2022, having played from December in only six games so far.
“Harrison Butker will be pleased to know he’s earning more per point scored than his opponent, Jake Elliott, despite scoring 14 less points than the latter.”
