Premier League fans vote on 'easiest' and 'most hostile' away days
Stamford Bridge and Goodison Park voted easiest away game by match-going fans, whilst Etihad Stadium is the hardest
By James McMath
Midnite has conducted a survey with 1,002 Premier League match-attending fans to ask them their views on the easiest grounds to visit and what are the most hostile stadiums they’ve experienced.
According to the survey results, fans believe Stamford Bridge is the easiest place to grab an away victory, having scooped up an 18.87% portion of the poll.
Goodison Park follows closely behind with 18.08% of the vote, while Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium is third with 15.1% of the vote.
Elland Road and St Mary’s take the fourth and fifth spots for the easiest away ground for a win, earning 13.76% and 13.42% of the vote respectively.
Tough Trips
When it comes to the hardest ground to come away with a win, a whopping 30.65% of the participants agreed on Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.
Anfield takes second place with 26.02% of the poll, nearly 4% more than Old Trafford which completes the top three hardest grounds to visit.
Not-So-Warm Welcome
Not only do Liverpool and Manchester United have difficult grounds to win at, but they have also been voted to be two of the most hostile stadiums.
Supporters were also asked what away grounds have the worst warmth of reception from fans and staff members, Old Trafford was voted the most with 19.69% and Anfield was third with 17.71%.
Second place is taken by none other than Elland Road (18.13%), whose crowd are known to turn it up on match-day, regardless of the opponent.

A Midnite spokesperson said: “Initially, it comes across as a shock that Stamford Bridge is the highest voted ground to win at, but looking at their last 10 home league games, Chelsea have only won four and achieved a total 15 points out of 30, which shows they can be vulnerable at home.
“There’s no question that the Etihad is the hardest place to visit in the Premier League, if Manchester City win their game in hand, they will continue to have the best home form in the Premier League, winning 12 of their 14 home games so far, one more than league-leaders Arsenal.
“Elland Road has been known for its hostile atmosphere since Leeds’ return to the Premier League and have been proved to be a difficult place to visit as a team and a fan.”
