Brace Yourself delivers £23,000 for Saints Foundation
Four braces. Four fan winners. And £23,000 for a brilliant cause.
By Dave Learmont
Last season, we asked Southampton supporters to Brace Yourself whenever a Saints player scored twice in a home league match.
The deal was simple: a Saints brace meant a cash prize for one fan. Whatever supporters won across the campaign, we’d match with a donation to Saints Foundation.
The final score? £23,000 for fans — and another £23,000 for the Foundation.
Two goals meant two winners
Brace Yourself ran throughout the 2025/26 season and produced four winners, including one supporter who landed £8,000 after Taylor Harwood-Bellis scored twice last November.
But the campaign was never only about what happened during the 90 minutes.
By matching the total fan prize pot, we’ve donated £23,000 to Saints Foundation and the work it does across Southampton.
Seeing the impact up close
To mark the donation, Southampton first-team players Jack Stephens, Léo Scienza and Ryan Manning joined members of the Foundation’s Senior Saints programme for a mobility session at Staplewood Campus.
Senior Saints supports people aged over 60 through physical activity and opportunities to socialise. Since the programme began, 80% of participants have reported becoming more active or feeling less lonely.
David Atkins, a Senior Saints participant, said:
“I’ve been coming for a few years now and I love it. I lived in France for 10 years before I moved here, so it’s a great way for me to meet people and improve my mental health.
“It was wonderful to have the players join us today. I always enjoy being around younger people because they make me feel younger too.”
More than a logo on a shirt
Our partnership with Southampton has always been about doing more for the people who follow the club.
Last season, that meant funding luxury away travel through the Midnite Express, creating hospitality experiences for supporters and commissioning a tifo to celebrate 50 years since Saints’ FA Cup win.
Brace Yourself followed the same thinking: build something fans would genuinely enjoy, then make sure the wider Southampton community won too.
Andrew Mook, Head of Brand Marketing at Midnite, said:
“Our partnership with Southampton has always been about more than what happens on the pitch. From day one, we’ve wanted to create initiatives that reward supporters while also giving something back to the local community.
“Brace Yourself was a brilliant campaign because every time Saints fans won, the Saints Foundation benefited too. We’re proud to donate £23,000 to support the incredible work they do across Southampton.
“Meeting participants from the Senior Saints programme alongside Jack, Léo and Ryan really brought that impact to life. Seeing first-hand how these programmes help people stay active, connected and independent shows exactly why supporting the Foundation is so important.”
A brace is usually worth two goals.
This one ended up meaning quite a bit more.
